California-based Clear Capital monitors the residential real estate market. It found that nationwide home prices dropped 5 percent in April compared to one year ago and are down 11.5 percent over the prior nine months Cheap Nike Air Max Flair , a rate of decline not seen since 2008.


Clear Capital’s Home Data Index for Portland dropped 10.1 percent compared to a year ago while Seattle prices dropped 12 percent in the same period.


In the first three months of 2011, nearly half of all residential real estate sales in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area involved properties that failed to sell at a foreclosure auction, according to Clear Capital, a California-based research firm.


Clear Capital also said distressed properties, including foreclosures, represented 34.5 percent of the market in April.


Locally Nike Air Max Flair Ireland , distressed properties represented 31.1 percent of the Portland market and 27.4 percent of the Seattle market, it said.


“The latest data through April shows a continued increase in the proportion of distressed sales that are taking hold in markets nationwide,” said Alex Villacorta, director of research and analytics. “With more than one-third of national home sales being (distressed), market prices are being weighed down as many markets have not regained enough footing to withstand the strain.”


Clear Data said the nation’s five best real estate markets are Charlotte, N.C. Cheap Nike Air Max 97 , Washington D.C., Tucson, Ariz., Dallas and Philadelphia.

BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Beijing authorities have passed a regulation that bans fireworks in the city proper in light of heavy air pollution and casualties caused by fireworks in recent years.


The regulation on fireworks safety and management was passed Friday by the standing committee of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress.


According to the regulation, setting off fireworks will be banned within the Fifth Ring Road of Beijing. In addition, district authorities outside the Fifth Ring Road can set fixed areas where fireworks are banned or restricted.


This means residents in the city proper will not be allowed to set off fireworks on the Lunar New Year, China's most important festival for family reunion. Chinese often celebrate the holiday with fireworks.


In restricted areas outside the Fifth Ring Road, fireworks are allowed only on the eve and the first day of the Lunar New Year Nike Air Max 98 Ireland , as well as from 7 a.m. to midnight from the second day to the fifteenth day of the Lunar New Year.


National and municipal celebrations and holidays that require official fireworks displays will be approved and announced by the Beijing municipal government.


According to an official with the legal affairs office of the Beijing municipal government, dozens of people were injured or killed in firework-triggered accidents during the Chinese Lunar New Year period between 2015 and 2017.


The number of heavy air pollution days during the seven-day festival reached two to four days each year during the past five years, the official said.
